CAM offers private instruction throughout the summer. Registration opens late Spring of each year.

Summer Music Fest

Students will experience music making in motivating environment through master classes, ensembles and performance. Led by experienced CAM faculty, they will learn about artistry, chamber music, practice strategies, and other areas of musicianship. 
CAM summer fest offer young musicians an opportunity to receive intensive instruction in a group setting, where they will work with CAM faculty and other students to work on ensemble playing, technique, and more in a fun environment. Participants will benefit from private lessons, chamber music experiences, and performance opportunities. A compelling and fun program led by CAM faculty, the summer fest includes daily practice, ensembles, CAM faculty and guest artist master classes, concerts, and variety of group workshops in music theory, Eurhythmics, and music history. This year, the Summer Music Fest will take place at the Bethel United Methodist Church at 57 Pitt Street and Charleston Academy of Music at 189 Rutledge Avenue, both downtown Charleston.
When: July 17-29, 9am-4pm, Mon-Friday. Final Student Concert Sat.July 29

Cost: $595 (Full Session)
$395 (Half Session - July 24-29)
Piano: Space is limited to 10 students, late elementary to intermediate levels. Must read music
Strings (violin, viola, cello): Space is limited to 12 students, up to 8th grade. Must read music
‚ÄčVoice (Musical Theater/Opera): 2nd grade up to High School-All skill levels
Guitar: Ages 8 and up, with prior guitar experience
